You get up, do the same same and go to bed… If you’ve ever wondered “is this it?”, you are not alone!

We all get stuck in the routine and pattern of life. It’s comfortable, it’s what we know. And honestly - that is our brain doing its job.. Keep us safe and comfortable. But our heart is another matter, our heart is whispering to us “I want more”… pulling us to something different. 


The trouble most of us have is that we’re not used to dreaming. We’ve kinda forgotten how to do it, detaching ourselves from what our heart wants - our hopes, our dreams and our desires. This can lead us to second-guessing and feeling lost or disconnect from our true selves. Leaving us asking “is this it?”

Our Propeller members come from so many different walks of life. Some know exactly what they want but have a hard time getting there. Others have no idea what their aiming point (that is what we call their goal) should be. The truth is - their desires were buried deep inside. Layers of disappointment, past experiences, and cultural narratives of what success should look like are piled on top. Through the power of mentorship and sharing stories of women all across Canada, those layers were peeled back to reveal a light bulb moment!


We work with clients through the Propeller Experience to uncover or  nudge these hidden desires and let them bubble up to the surface. An activity we love to do is asking our members to write down the 50 things they want. ALL THE THINGS! 

  • The little wants - (to buy a coffee everyday, or wake up to a clean kitchen) 
  • The outlandish wants - (the privately catered vacation… solo!) 
  • The selfish wants - (to have uninterrupted time to just do you - not selfish at all btw)
  • The “I wish I did this when I was 20” wants - (backpacked around Europe)

You can put the list down and come back to it another time with more ideas. When you’re ready - highlight the ideas that really tug at your heart and BE HONEST. Take the ones that really stand out to you and ask yourself which one do you can do and have right now.

And then pick that one thing…

And start now!

When you check that one off your list, move to the next one.


To dream or to want, to think creatively is a skill that needs to be built or rebuilt just like any other muscle.  Like any other fitness plan, this requires maintenance and small actions every day. Your dream muscles will become bigger and stronger with every practice.
