You’ve identified your goal (we call it an aiming point), and you’re feeling pretty motivated. Great! But how do you sustain that motivation as well as the belief that what you want is possible… and achievable

Who here has ever declared a New Years resolution only to give up on week two? Or set out to find a new and better opportunity, only to settle for less than what they wanted?

With so many things vying for our attention, with setbacks or challenges that creep up along the way, it's easy to convince ourselves that “we didn’t really want it anyway” or “we’re actually fine with what we have right now”.

If you have been here, know that you're not alone! In the Mindset Reset module of our Propeller Experience we work with women to choose the right goals - goals that they really want - not goals they think they should want . Then we equip them with the tools and support they need to achieve their version of success.

Here is how our community members and goal slayers stay focussed and motivated to achieve their goals:

Write it down.

In detail. Every day. Whether your goal is a new job, running a marathon or traveling the world, the more detail and clarity you have around the goal the better.

Get emotionally involved with it.

Write your goal a love letter if you must! Connect your feelings and emotions to it. As you write out your goal, imagine you have already achieved it… how does it feel? Imagine you are starting your new job, crossing the finish line or hopping on the plane - visualize yourself there now and hold on to that feeling.

Trust the process.

Trust that everything is working out for your learning and growth. Be grateful for your wins - getting the interview and practicing your negotiation - instead of focussing on the negatives - not getting this opportunity.

Be flexible.

Our goals don’t always show up exactly when or where we expect them. When you are open and flexible it is easier to spot new opportunities and ideas. Ones that may take us to our destination through another route.
